Returning to base-camp at twilight we are drawn to investigate a prominent rock pillar. The rising full moon reveals a massive eagle's nest perched on its ledge. The king of Bisti’s lair has been found out, far above head!

The land looks and feels like Artic Circle desert — with night temperature minus 25C. In the morning our boots have to pried from the frozen the ground.
